Historical Event on 12/10/1878

Chakravarti Rajagopalachari, great social reformer, ardent patriot, incisive thinker and eminent literateur was born at Hosur in Tamil Nadu. He was the first Indian Governor General of independent India and popularly known as 'Rajaji'.

5/25/1965Independent India had further clashes with Pakistan in 1965 and 1971, one over the intractable Kashmir dispute and the other over Bangladesh. A border war was also fought with China in 1962 in the North-Eastern region, which resulted in the loss of Aksai Chin in Ladakh and smaller areas in the North-east.
