A friend in Miami is facing domestic abuse from her spouse. She has a 2 month old baby and her passport has husband has taken her passport, refusing to let her travel. He is abusing her physically or verbally. Im not completely sure of the situation. But she has no money and is a friend of a friend. Since Im in NY, all I could do was get her the local POlica Depqrtment number and details of some domestic violence shelters. I wanted to reach out to see what resources would be available for her in Miami since I cant physically be there right now. Please suggest any resources you can think of. She is trying to leave to India as soon as she is able to.
