Old Northwood Historic Candle Light Home Tour 2018

The Old Northwood Historic District in West Palm Beach-bounded by Broadway, North Dixie Highway and 26th and 35th Streets-contains 320 historic buildings and is one of the first historic Districts to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This year's tour will be held on Sunday, December 16 from 5 pm- 9 pm. Tickets are the same price as last year $35.00. Check-in is located at 3510 Spruce ave, WPB FL 33407 starting at 3:30 pm

The Candlelight Home Tour is an annual event that began thirty years ago and draws over 1,400 people to visit the historic homes in this unique neighborhood and share wine and conversation with friends and neighbors. The Old Northwood District includes homes in the Mission, Mediterranean Revival, Frame and Mid-Century Vernacular styles, designed in the 1920's by leading architects.

This year we are offering the tatse of Northwood in place of a VIP party. The Taste of Northwood Experience will take you on a guided walking tour of Northwood Village along the way our guide will enlighten you with our history and a story or 2 about how the area was first founded.

As you are on this journey, you will stop at some of the most highly acclaimed hidden gems that we have here- Our restaurants! At each stop, your guide will provide you with insights into the chef/owners of the establishments and sample some of their culinary delights. Each plate will be paired with a libation carefully selected by the chef, to compliment their dish. Your taste buds will take you around the world with cuisines from Italy, Thailand, France, Mexico, and much more!

After your fill of scrumptious morsels, our open aired trolley will bring you into the Historic District of Old Northwood where you can begin your candlelight tour of homes.

The Taste of Northwood Event is from 3-6pm

Check in is @ Circa Who 531 Northwood road WPB 33407 where you will receive your wristband and meet your tour guide. (Northwood road and Dixie Hwy. on the east side of the street)

The trolley will start transporting guests from Northwood Village to Old Northwood beginning at 4:45 pm

You will also have VIP front of the line access to each home when you purchase the combination Home Tour and Taste of Northwood experience

The Old Northwood Historic District is one of the most beautiful and friendly neighborhoods in West Palm Beach. Its distinguished architectureMediterranean Revival and Mission stylereflect the historic development era of the mid-1920s made famous by Addison Mizner throughout South Florida. Builders associated with the famed architect carried his vision of design and scale from Palm Beach to the eastern shore of Lake Worth where Old Northwood began. The architects and builders of the 1920slike John Volk, William King and Henry Harveybuilt their homes here and left an indelible mark on Old Northwood. Many of these historic homes have been completely restored in recent decades.
